VOLUNTEERING IN BEGEGNUNGS- UND SERVICEZENTRUM ZUFFENHAUSEN
AWO Stuttgart operates several community centers for seniors as well as intergenerational neighborhood houses, which serve as meeting points for social interaction, cultural activities, and everyday support. Our facilities offer a wide range of programs, helping seniors lead independent and active lives.

TASKS
– Assisting in planning, organizing and carrying out recreational, educational and cultural activites (game nights, lectures,craft sessions)
– Transportation services (driving to doctor`s appointments, events, shopping)
– Assisting with everyday tasks (filling forms, handling minor
repairs, accompanying on walks)
– Running errands for the facility or our visitors for daily needs or special events
– Preparing event spaces, administrative duties and maintaining contact with volunteers and external partners
VOLUNTEER PROFILE
– Highly motivated to work with elderly people
– Bringing different generations together, supporting them in their daily lives
– Social, outgoing, creative, empathetic
– Driver’s license
– Basic understanding of German (A1 required)
Accomodation
Shared apartment or a residential home with other young adults who are new to Germany
Food
You will receive monthly pocket money, food allowance and reimbursement of travel costs
Transport
We provide a “Deutschlandticket” for public transportation in all of Germany
